English Reading Practice #3 - This Month at English World
Hello again and, as always, thanks as always for reading our blog.
We're coming into a new month and that means new topics for each of our levels at English World. For May 2020, we will look at (1) the phrase "thanks for ...", (2) the simple past, and (3) Entertainment.
(1) Thanks for ...
Thanks for checking our blog. We appreciate your readership. We should be thankful for our health in these times. Keep these phrases in mind as we work with them this month.
(2) Simple Past
I stayed home today and wrote this post for you guys. The simple past may seem easy, but there are many exceptions to the "-ed" rule of English grammar. We will be covering many of them this month so come to one of our lessons to keep these exceptions in mind.
(3) Entertainment
Do you like live music? Maybe a recording is more your speed. Do you prefer a stageshow or a movie? A stageshow is to a movie as a live concert is to an album. Do you agree? Come in and discuss with us this month at any of our cafe classes or level three.
