Are reviews (参考) important?

Do you ever rate (評価する) things online?

I always read reviews on Amazon before I purchase (購入) something. 

I want to know what other people have to say about the product (製品).

But sometimes these ratings are too good!

How often? (どのぐらい頻度)

I always (100%) rate the books I read on Good Reads!

I often (~70%) rate movies on Netflix.

I sometimes (~40%) rate my Amazon purchases. 

I rarely (~10%) rate restaurants on Google maps. 

I never (0%) rate my mother's cooking. (It's always good!)

The product is overrated (過大評価)!

Overrated products are really annoying.

It's not just products, but also expereinces (経験) are sometimes overrated.

I asked our students and this is what they said:

Student A said Tokyo Disneyland is overrated, because there are too many crowds!

Student B said a nearby (近くの) Ramen Restaurant is overrated, because the taste is not so special.

Student C said the Hiroshima Peace Memorial (広島平和記念資料館) was overrated, because it is not taken care of.
